SENATE PASSES LEGISLATION IN SUPPORT OF AMERICA’S LAW ENFORCEMENT PROFESSIONALS

Citizens Behind the Badge partnered with U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) in drafting the legislation, which states that "Congress highly respects and values U.S. law enforcement professionals."

McLean, VA (July 26, 2025) – Citizens Behind the Badge (CBB), a pro-law enforcement advocacy organization, today praised the United States Senate for recently passing legislation authored by U.S. Sen. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) that expresses strong support for America’s law enforcement professionals, and “calls for increased measures to be taken to maximize the safety and well-being of officers.”

The resolution (S.Con.Res. 15), in a strongly worded statement, declares that “Congress highly respects and values United States law enforcement professionals and greatly appreciates all that those officers do to protect and serve our communities.” It also acknowledged the sacrifices that have been made in the name of public safety, stating that Congress “remembers and honors those officers and their families who have experienced a death or injury in the line of duty.”
