This is Part 1 of his story: how a petroleum geologist from Texas Tech got robbed at gunpoint outside an Oklahoma City bar, hunted the robber down like it was a geological survey, and ended up in an ATF badge — and then spent the next two years cold-calling his way into the Sons of Silence, one of the most dangerous outlaw motorcycle gangs in America.
Blake was Craig Floyd's Officer of the Month at the National Law Enforcement Officer's Memorial Fund in July 2002. His motorcycle and his undercover jacket are in the National Law Enforcement Museum.
